So one more year for the pay study. Then Another year to budget it, and then possibly another year to implement it. Nice.

Stop talking about it and fill the council chambers with us and our families. They see it as it must not be that important if we can't even show up to say so.

Soooo, did I miss an email about the pay study or a proposed raise? I've heard people talking about some proposed 2.9 percent raise for the upcoming budget year. Any truth to that? I watched another very squared away officer leave yesterday, bound for Apex -- and I can't blame him for accepting a $6,000/year raise.

I love this department, and truly hope the city recognizes what's at stake by dragging their feet.

I can't blame that young officer for leaving either. If it really is only 2.9 percent I am not waiting this storm out anymore either.
